User Guide & 3D In-Game Creator

MTM-TRAJECTCONTROLE provides two primary in-game interfaces: an interactive road map tablet for monitoring and adjusting corridors, and a 6-step 3D noclip creator tool for creating new speed check sections directly in the game world.

Open the tablet using /trajectmap (or your configured keybind, e.g. F7).

  • Pan the Map: Click and drag anywhere across the screen.
  • Zoom In / Out: Scroll the mouse wheel up or down.
  • Move the Tablet Casing: Click and hold the outer metallic border to reposition the window. Double-click the border to reset it to the center of your screen.
  • Close the Tablet: Press Escape, Backspace, or click the red exit button.

Clicking on any monitored route in the left-hand sidebar or directly on the map opens the section details drawer:

  • Status & Velocity: Displays the active speed limit (e.g. 100 km/h or a live matrix limit).
  • Section Distance: Shows the measured highway road distance in meters.
  • Section Speed Check Toggle: Enable or disable average speed enforcement across the route.
  • Instant Speed Trap Toggle: Enable or disable the individual portal radar cameras.
  • Matrix Sync Toggle: Enable or disable live synchronization with overhead matrix signs.
  • Delete Route: Authorized administrators can delete unwanted corridors directly from the UI without restarting the server.

2. The 3D In-Game Creator (/trajectcreate)

Section titled “2. The 3D In-Game Creator (/trajectcreate)”

The built-in creator wizard allows administrators to set up new highway corridors in less than two minutes.

Run the command in chat or server console:

/trajectcreate

Your character will freeze safely and enter free-flying noclip mode with a tactical heads-up display.

Control Action
W, A, S, D Move camera horizontally
Q / Z Move camera vertically up / down
Mouse Wheel Adjust camera flight speed (Slow, Normal, Fast)
Left Mouse Click Confirm and lock current barrier position or prop placement
E Cycle camera prop model (ANPR mast, radar box, gantry camera, invisible laser)
Scroll Wheel (Holding Prop) Adjust prop height offset (Z-axis) above the gantry or ground
Shift + Scroll Wheel Rapid height adjustment
R Rotate prop heading in 15-degree increments
Backspace / Delete Undo last placed camera prop
Escape Cancel creation wizard and return to player ped

  1. Step 1: Set Entry Barrier Line Fly to your desired highway starting point (such as under an overhead matrix gantry). Face the camera in the direction of traffic flow and click Left Mouse Button to place the entry detection line.

  2. Step 2: Position Entry Camera Props Hover your cursor above each highway lane or gantry beam where you want a camera visible. Press E to select your preferred camera model, adjust height with the mouse wheel, and click Left Mouse Button to anchor each camera. Once all cameras are positioned, press Enter to proceed.

  3. Step 3: Fly Along the Corridor Fly along the highway towards your intended finish location. Notice the on-screen distance counter calculating the exact driving distance in real time.

  4. Step 4: Set Exit Barrier Line Align the camera across the highway where the speed check should conclude. Face forward in the direction of traffic and click Left Mouse Button to lock the exit line.

  5. Step 5: Position Exit Camera Props Anchor the exit camera props above the driving lanes using the same controls as Step 2. Press Enter when finished.

  6. Step 6: Configure Section Details A sleek modal window will appear on screen:

    • Section Identifier: A unique ID (e.g. A2_NOORD_MAATSCHAP).
    • Display Name: Friendly route name shown in driver notifications and tablet.
    • Default Speed Limit: Base statutory speed limit (e.g. 100 or 130 km/h) enforced when matrix signs are dark or disabled.
    • Enforcement Toggles: Choose whether Section Average Check, Instant Portal Traps, and Matrix Sync should be active.
    • Click Save Section. The route is saved immediately to data/trajecten.json and synchronized to all online players.

Critical Placement Tip: Clean Roadway Alignment

Section titled “Critical Placement Tip: Clean Roadway Alignment”

MTM-TRAJECTCONTROLE uses GTA V’s native road network to measure the precise driving distance over asphalt.

If an entry or exit portal is placed across an off-ramp, a turnaround gap in the central barrier, or slightly into oncoming traffic:

  1. GTA V’s internal pathfinder may assume the vehicle must take an exit ramp, cloverleaf, or U-turn to reach the destination.
  2. The calculated road distance will become artificially inflated by hundreds of meters.
  3. This will cause the calculated travel time and effective speed limit to deviate from reality.

Always keep your crosshair centered on the main driving lanes for accurate distance calculation.

3. Driver Notifications & Violation Feedback

Section titled “3. Driver Notifications & Violation Feedback”

When a driver passes through a section, MTM-TRAJECTCONTROLE provides clear feedback based on Config.ShowDriverNotifications:

  • Section Entry: A subtle notification appears indicating that the driver has entered a monitored speed control zone, stating the active speed limit.
  • Section Exit (Clean): If the driver maintained a legal average speed, a confirmation message is displayed showing their average speed and elapsed travel time.
  • Section Exit (Speeding Violation): If the driver exceeded the legal limit, an immediate notification is displayed:
    Speeding violation! Average speed: 124.8 km/h (Limit: 100 km/h)
    Fine issued: EUR 240
  • Instant Gate Trap: If a vehicle passes an individual portal at an excessive instantaneous velocity, the portal camera flashes and cites the driver immediately.
