Matrix Signs User Guide

This guide explains how traffic controllers, police officers, and road authorities interact with the Highway Matrix Signs system in the game world.

Control Input Method Permission Description
/matrix:menu Chat Command Configured Roles / ACE Opens the fullscreen interactive highway matrix map.
F5 Keyboard Shortcut Configured Roles / ACE Default keybind to open/close the matrix control center.

The management interface presents a fullscreen interactive map of San Andreas covering all major motorways (including the Del Perro Freeway, Olympic Freeway, La Puerta Freeway, Senora Freeway, and Palomino Freeway).

  • Pan & Drag: Click and hold the Left Mouse Button anywhere on the map to drag and pan across the island.
  • Zoom In / Out: Scroll the Mouse Wheel forward to zoom in on specific interchanges, or scroll backward for a full motorway network overview.
  • Dynamic Marker Scaling: When zooming out to view the entire island, matrix sign markers scale down automatically so the map remains clean without cluttered overlays.
  • Dark Marker: The gantry is currently inactive (all matrix signs turned off).
  • Flashing Amber Marker: The gantry has at least one active advisory speed or warning sign currently displayed.

Clicking any matrix marker on the map opens the slide-out Traffic Situation Editor on the right side of the screen.

Highway gantries feature dual-direction controls:

  • Left (Links): Controls lanes for the left carriageway.
  • Right (Rechts): Controls lanes for the right carriageway (the side closest to the coastline/sea).
  • Each carriageway displays the available physical lanes (Lane 1 through Lane 4 depending on the highway width at that gantry).

MTM-PADUI Tablet Integration (Coming Soon)

Section titled “MTM-PADUI Tablet Integration (Coming Soon)”

If your server runs the MTM-PADUI tablet system, the Matrix Signs app is automatically registered in the tablet ecosystem:

  1. Open your iPadOS tablet in-game (default F6 or /pad).
  2. Open the Traffic Matrix Signs application from the home screen (or download it from the App Store under Emergency Services & Police).
  3. The tablet runs the full interactive map and lane editor within a clean window, allowing patrol units to modify highway matrix signs directly from inside their vehicle without pausing the game.
