ANPR User Guide

This guide outlines how officers, dispatchers, and server administrators interact with the MTM-ANPR system in the game world.

Command Permission Level Description
/anpr Authorized Jobs / ACE Opens the mobile tactical ANPR tablet interface.
/anpr_monitor Authorized Jobs Toggles the in-car dashboard radar HUD for active patrol units.
/placeanpr Authorized Jobs / Staff Enters interactive 3D placement mode to deploy a roadside camera pole.
/anpr_admin Admin Roles / ACE Opens the administrative jurisdiction map to edit, configure, or delete poles.
/checkanpr All Players / Admins Executes a diagnostic check on system latency, active cameras, and cache state.

Officers can open the encrypted tactical tablet at any time by running /anpr or binding the command to a key.

  • Dashboard Feed: Displays an aggregated live feed of recent traffic scans across all deployed poles, active alert counts, and jurisdiction status.
  • Scan History: A searchable archive of historical vehicle passings. Filter by license plate string, vehicle model, street location, or speed range.
  • BOLO Hotlist: Centralized interface to create, review, and delete wanted vehicle entries.
  • Camera Network: Displays all operational roadside poles, allowing officers to inspect real-time passing logs for specific camera units.
  • Target Tracking & Tactical Radar: Visualizes suspect driving trajectories and calculates real-time predictive search radii on the city map.

Every license plate rendered within the tablet interface is interactive. Clicking on any license plate string instantly copies the formatted plate to your computer clipboard and triggers a confirmation notification. This enables officers to paste plates directly into external MDTs or CAD terminals without manual typing errors.

Clicking on any scan entry opens the high-resolution snapshot captured at the exact millisecond of detection. The viewer displays vehicle model details, primary and secondary paint colors, surrounding lighting, and road conditions.

The BOLO (Be On the Lookout) system enables law enforcement to flag suspicious, stolen, or wanted vehicles across the entire ANPR camera network.

  1. Open the Tablet: Execute /anpr and navigate to the BOLO Hotlist tab.
  2. Create Entry: Click the New BOLO button.
  3. Fill Information:
    • Target Plate: Enter the vehicle license plate without spaces.
    • Vehicle Model: Enter the vehicle make/model name.
    • Reason: Select from configured reason tags (Stolen Vehicle, Wanted Suspect, Speeding Infraction, Tactical Target, etc.).
    • Priority Level: Assign a priority (Low, Medium, High).
    • Operational Notes: Add relevant suspect descriptions, warrant numbers, or officer safety warnings.
  4. Submit: Click Save Entry. The plate is immediately distributed to server memory cache across all roadside poles and patrol scanners.

When a flagged vehicle drives past any active roadside pole or an in-car patrol scanner:

  • An immediate high-priority dispatch notification is broadcast to all on-duty units.
  • The notification contains vehicle details, measured speed, camera name, and postal code.
  • Officers can press the quick GPS key (default backslash \) to automatically plot a GPS waypoint to the detection coordinates.

When an active BOLO vehicle is detected, officers can engage real-time target tracking directly from the tablet interface.

  • Connected Trajectory: The tracking interface connects past camera hits with a directional route line across the city map.
  • Expanding Search Circle: Based on the vehicle’s last recorded velocity and the elapsed time since detection, the system renders a dynamic tactical radar search radius.
  • Visual Boundaries: The radar circle expands smoothly over time, defining the realistic geographical area the suspect could have reached.
  • Real-Time Recalibration: If the vehicle passes another camera pole while tracking is active, the route line updates immediately, the center marker shifts to the new pole, and the search circle resets its calculation.

For active patrol units, the MTM-ANPR system includes a mobile dashboard HUD toggled via /anpr_monitor.

  • Coverage: Continuously scans vehicles travelling directly ahead of and behind the patrol car across adjacent lanes.
  • Real-Time Detection: When an oncoming or leading vehicle exceeds speed limits or matches an active BOLO entry, the HUD sounds an auditory tone and highlights the vehicle plate and speed on-screen.
  • Positioning: Configurable in config.lua to appear in the bottom-right or top-right of the screen.

Authorized officers and supervisors can deploy new stationary camera poles in the game world using interactive placement mode.

  1. Drive or walk to the target roadside location.
  2. Enter /placeanpr in chat.
  3. Use the interactive 3D placement gizmo (powered by MTM-CORE) to position the camera pole prop and rotate its heading toward oncoming traffic lanes.
  4. Define operational parameters in the placement UI:
    • Camera Name / Identifier (e.g. Highway 1 - Northbound).
    • Street Speed Limit (e.g. 80 KM/H).
    • Detection Radius (e.g. 30.0 meters).
  5. Click Confirm Placement. The camera is saved to the database and streamed to all nearby clients.

Administrators can execute /anpr_admin to view an interactive map showing every deployed camera pole across the entire state. From this interface, staff members can adjust speed limits, change detection ranges, or delete decommissioned camera poles with a single click.
