Installation Guide

Installing a Mountain Mods resource on your FiveM server is designed to be smooth and reliable. Follow this comprehensive guide to configure dependencies, import SQL tables, set up custom inventory items, and link Discord webhooks across all script types.

  1. Extract Resource Files Extract the downloaded .zip archive from Keymaster directly into your server’s resources/ folder (or a dedicated subfolder like resources/[mountainmods]/).

    resources/
    └── [mountainmods]/
    └── mtm-resource-name/
    ├── client/
    ├── server/
    ├── shared/
    │ └── config.lua
    ├── locales/
    ├── fxmanifest.lua
    └── database.sql # (if applicable)
  2. Execute Database SQL Scripts (If Applicable) If the resource contains a database.sql or install.sql file, open your database management software (such as HeidiSQL, phpMyAdmin, or DBeaver) and execute the queries against your active FiveM database schema:

    -- Example SQL execution in HeidiSQL
    SOURCE C:/FXServer/resources/[mountainmods]/mtm-resource-name/database.sql;

    Note: If you run in Standalone Mode (Config.Framework = "standalone"), many scripts can automatically use local file storage (JSON/SQLite) without requiring a SQL database.

  3. Configure Settings in config.lua Open shared/config.lua or config.lua in your code editor (such as VS Code):

    • Set your framework mode (Config.Framework = "auto" or specify "qbcore", "esx", "qbx", "vrp", "ox", "standalone").
    • Configure allowed jobs, permissions, coordinates, multipliers, prices, or webhook endpoints.
    • Set your language locale (Config.Language = "en" or "nl").
  4. Register Custom Inventory Items (If Applicable) If the resource introduces interactive physical items (such as remote controls, diagnostic dongles, tools, or receipt tickets), add the item definitions to your active inventory system:

    ['mtm_device'] = {
    label = 'Mountain Mods Device',
    weight = 500,
    stack = false,
    close = true,
    description = 'Interactive electronic tool for Mountain Mods systems.',
    client = {
    image = 'mtm_device.png',
    }
    },
  5. Configure Discord Webhook Integration (If Applicable) For scripts utilizing external logging, transaction receipts, audit logs, or evidence captures, create a dedicated Discord webhook:

    1. In your Discord server, open your desired channel settings.
    2. Navigate to Integrations -> Webhooks -> Create Webhook.
    3. Copy the Webhook URL.
    4. Open config.lua and paste the URL into Config.DiscordWebhook:
      Config.DiscordWebhook = "https://discord.com/api/webhooks/1234567890/abcdefghij..."
  6. Add Resource to server.cfg in Correct Order Open server.cfg and ensure that all dependencies and frameworks are started before the Mountain Mods script:

    # Database & Core Utilities
    ensure oxmysql
    ensure ox_lib
    # Framework (or Standalone)
    ensure qb-core # or es_extended / qbx_core / vrp / ox_core
    # Mountain Mods Suite
    ensure MTM-CORE
    ensure mtm-matrixborden
    ensure mtm-flessenautomaat
    ensure mtm-taxi
  7. Start Server & Check Console Verification Start your FXServer. Upon boot, Mountain Mods resources output a startup banner confirming database connection and license verification.

When properly installed, your server console will display a clean verification badge:
